COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS
We are approved and open by the State of Oregon to provide Childcare and Preschool learning opportunities during this pandemic. Our staff has been trained in accordance with State Requirements and we have implemented new drop-off and pickup procedures. Additional sanitation and deep cleaning measures are being taken to follow and/or exceed current State and Federal guidelines.
Daily temperature checks of each child are conducted – we provide masks, face-shields and protective clothing for staff, and optional PPE for children. Tabletop sneeze-guards and touch-less fixtures have also been installed. We continue to update our policies and procedures to help ensure the health and safety of all our children and families.
Our program also offers smaller group sizes with low child to teacher ratios; this allows more individual attention that is essential during the early years. We educate our children regarding the importance of clean hands and keeping themselves and others safe from germs. Parallel play is practiced to support children staying safe while having meaningful social interactions.
Our Commitment
Food & Nutrition
Optimum nutrition is the foundation of helping children learn and is essential for proper development of the body and mind. Our daily menu offers a wide variety of organic fruits and vegetables, cereals, and pastas without the use of heavily processed foods. We only use organic milk and always strive for local wholesome ingredients directly from family farmers.
Eco-Healthy
Our program provides eco-friendly and sustainable toys and materials - safe, non-toxic products, utensils, napkins, and non-plastic items for food preparation and meals. No off-gassing products are used, non-stick pans are not part of the kitchen, and we received certification as an Eco-Healthy Child Care by the Children’s Environmental Health Network.
